The Unhappiest of Birthdays…

             

           First on behalf of this blog I would like to send a Happy Belated Birthday to Natalya. I’m sure despite everything her birthday was wonderful. Check Instagram if you don’t believe me. I’m not much a bobsledder or a person to go anywhere nears a zip line but she seemed to be having fun. So... on Raw we see Divas. And not just any Divas… we see the Total Divas. First we see Tons of Funk with their funkalicious dancers Naomi and Cameron. Two total Divas. And then behind them we see Natalya dancing away. Three total Divas! The Great Khali and Tons of Funk gearing up for a match. They are going against the Three Man Band. You never realize what you are watching until you actually have to type it up. A group called Tons of Funk versus a band of misfits. One would wonder why we are seeing a match with these six random people. Well we are lucky enough to see an extra special clip from earlier in the day or like ten minutes before we got this show on the road.  Heath Slater wanted a piece of Natalya’s perfectly pink frosted cake. It’s Natalya’s birthday so if she doesn’t want to share with a loser she shouldn’t have too! Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre couldn’t take a hint and Heath does the unthinkable. He takes Natalya’s cake and pushes it into Hornswoggle’s face. Way to ruin a cake and good job to you. But alas we get redemption. 3MB loses and the winning team and total Divas celebrate. After this dancing celebration we are introduced to the wonderful singing styles of Natalya’s Punjabi Playboy, The Great Khali. I think he sang her happy birthday. If he didn’t we will just pretend he did. And our glowing 3rd generation diva looks ecstatic and happy. That wasn’t the happy ending we all desired for the 3G diva. A matrix of evil ruined her birthday.

 I guess we can call them just for today evil twin spawn Nikki and Brie Bella.  We all must understand that The Bellas are the greatest bitches existing in WWE. No one is playing a bitch better and it helps that there is two of them. Have any of you been taunted by twin bitches? My guess is no. If you have I think you feel Natalya’s pain. Natalya and her bff Kaitlyn (who is not a total diva at all) are facing the Total Divas Nikki and Brie Bella. I feel like after seeing all five ladies I must watch the show. Hey WWE, stop sending me subliminal messages! The Bellas win (don’t feel like recapping the match not about that life) and you would think that the match would be over. Natalya is pinned and The Bellas get to shake their booties back up the ramp. But as Twin Bitches, they can’t let it go. So one slaps the taste out of Natalya’s mouth, I would like to call this the insult. Then to add we hear a rendition of “Happy Birthday” fit for a loser. This singing is the injury.  The Bella Twins cannot sing at all. My ears and my heart hurt at this moment. The Queen of Harts was in the ring crying on her birthday. So not only did she lose she has to cry. I’m also convinced that she went up the ramp and enjoyed the rest of her birthday.Maybe Nikki and Brie bought Nattie something for her birthday.  I understand fact and fiction or in this case reality versus storyline.
             After seeing all five stars of Total Divas and no promo I feel like I have to see this show even more. They aren’t forcing it down my throat yet, like that damn WWE App. If you follow all of these women on Instagram or Twitter you will see that they are still filming. Recently, Natalya and Nikki Bella went shopping. I’m so interested in that part. Cameron was a sick Funkadactyl but she put on her red bottoms and filmed. I think the possibilities are endless for this show. And right now as they gear up for a premiere I wonder what else WWE has up their sleeves. Will we see Team (insert name here) shirts? I would buy a Team Natalya shirt in all seriousness. Will we see Eva Marie and Jojo hanging with Natalya on her birthday? Who knows! The longer I wait these ideas will just swarm in my head with no consequences.  My ultimate hope in my wacky mind is that… I’ll just save it for next time.

My Dream Cast

So now it is my turn to share who would be in my dream cast of Total Divas. I need some dramatic music
My dream cast would consist of Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Maryse Ouellet and Paige!!!
Nikki and Brie are already featured on the show and I wanted to keep them.

Obviously I have many reasons.
Nikki Bella: Okay so I decided to keep this Bella Twin. I have my reasons. Through the promo she is going to draw people to their TV screens. I can just imagine people watching E! Seeing the promo and wanting to watch. I think she appeals to an audience of people who can relate to this Bella Twin. I think we all have a little bit of this Bella’s personality inside of us. She exudes confidence and her character is probably more escalated and dramatized because this is reality TV.

Brie Bella: I feel like you can’t have one twin without the other. Brie is someone that we see but don't really hear from her. I think Nikki will be painted as rambunctious and Brie will be chill. We just need a contrast. We need to see that just because two people look alike that doesn’t mean they necessarily act the same.

Alicia Fox: I had to choose the Foxy one. I don’t get to see her much on WWE TV and when I do I feel shorted. She has tons of personality. If you have time check out her episode of Outside of the Ring. She is far from boring. I think in the right situation Foxy would have been an excellent addition to the show.

Maryse:  I honestly feel that if Maryse was still a Diva she would the star of this show.  I wouldn’t have been surprised if she won the title just so she could have it to promote the show. Maryse is the definition of diva. With her Louboutin shoes and her impeccable style she would rock the socks off of E! Viewers. Maryse would be the most enjoyable because you would see a true character shift from her in ring persona to who she is outside of the ring.

Paige: So this one is my wild card. I like Paige. What I’ve caught of doing Indy shows and NXT I say that she is a star. As soon as she is called up I think my heart will flutter. I want her perspective. She is in NXT but she does house shows sometimes. It would be nice to see a view of someone who is in between not necessarily on the main roster but not a super rookie. Plus, Paige has so much support from fans already I can imagine what this show would do for her.

 This doesn't mean by any means that I don't like the current cast. I just love to mix things up and be slightly difficult. You will all learn this soon.

I'm actually surprised at the Divas I chose. I actually wouldn't mind seeing a different set of women for the next season. The show hasn't even started yet and I'm ready for a next season. And if anyone from E! is reading this they should have an E! special for the divas during the weekend this show premieres. Like E! True Hollywood Story: WWE Divas or E! Presents: WWE Divas: Past, Present and Future. I think more people would watch the show if they showed something that informed them about WWE Divas and women in wrestling. These ideas just fly when I start writing. So now you all have two examples of a "Total Divas" recast. Who will be your fab five?

A Dream Total Divas Cast

So before I reached out to all of you for your answers I decided to ask one of my favorite contributors, the second and equally as important Total Divas Blogger. I asked her this question and she gave wonderful thought.
The Fab Five: Natalya, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, the Funkadactyls, & two Rookies.
Honestly these would not be my fab five. If I had the power I would rid them of everyone.

 MY Fab Five would consist of Eve Torres, Maryse, Brie Bella, Emma, and Sasha.

 I think that these five women are fantastic we could see definitely some interesting storylines. Eve, Maryse, & Brie are already friends. Then we have Emma and Sasha, two divas from NXT that not many people have paid attention to. I think that if they had a group that were already friends and people were used to it then it would make it easier to welcome in the rookies, except there would have to be drama between the groups, just as there always is in reality TV. But the audience gets to see the relationships grow and develop between the three divas they already know while introducing them to these newbies. But they will definitely have to get the people used to the new ones because they are always opposed to change it seems. They hate how girls can be models and divas, but the truth of the matter is there were some very respected divas, some of the greats, were models before they became divas. For example Trish Stratus, 2013 Hall of Famer; she was a fitness model before her career in WWE. But do people remember that before they begin to judge the new girls that WWE has picked for moving up the food chain? No. They just start judging these women on their past instead of how they really work in the ring.
    Seeing Eve, Maryse, and Brie would definitely be a good group of girls that are already Divas. They are well loved and each has their strengths and weakness in the field. But they are also good friends outside of the the ring, having them on the show would allow their fans and other viewers the chance to see how they manage their friendship, relationships, and other aspects of life on the road and off. Maryse and Miz & Eve and Rener are about to get married, WWE could think about using the stresses of preparing wedding as forms of their drama. Brie is dating Daniel, it could allow for some drama in a different aspect of a relationship. I think it would allow fans to see what it is really like for their favorites to not always be having the perfect day and life. They could play with their characters and use that to their advantage. Is their character similar to their actual personality? Would Eve play the heel that we were introduced to right before she left WWE or would Maryse play the beautiful French-Canadian that loved to put her hand in your face when she had heard quite enough? Then there is Brie. Would she play the "loser" hating girl we see that we see her and her sister portray on the show? Or would see the sweet, cute girl that posts the Instagram photos of herself and her boyfriend, Bryan Danielson? Either way I think it would allow the girls to develop new relationships with their fans, both the older divas and the rookies that people are getting a first glimpse at.
Now we challenge you to make up your own list of the Fab Five. Who would you want to see on WWE's newest reality show about the divas. Would you want past, current, future divas?

Total Divas Dream Cast

Hello all,  WWE TV
            So Total Divas doesn’t start until July. What am I going to do with myself and this blog until then? So I decided, with the help of a trusted friend, to do something that has readers interacting with the blog. I would love to read comments and all those wonderful opinions out there. 

My question for you all is:
            Who would be in your dream cast of Total Divas? Why would you choose these Fab Five?

  I know that it is too soon to go around and change things but let’s pretend we are running this show. Some of us would replace the whole cast, while others would replace one or two people. I am just sticking to the fab five because Jojo and Eva Marie are perfect to me for many reasons. The main reason is that this show needs a rookie perspective. We have these “Total Divas” and then we get to see women who want to be Total Divas.

I’m excited to see the capacity

they use Jojo and Eva and I hope they garner some fan support through the show. If you follow these two on Instagram you can see that they are actually traveling to Raw and Smackdown. I'm not quite sure what they do backstage but I know they look flawless in all pictures. I’m not happy that fans are ruling Jojo and Eva out before getting to see what they can do. They talk about when WWE hires models and not real “wrestlers”. I can understand that perspective. I would love to see some Indy women's wrestlers step inside the ring on WWE TV. But I can see that WWE  has models turned wrestlers who were very successful. Trish was a fitness model first; Victoria/Tara was a model. So excuse me and others for wanting to give these two a chance. I want them to surprise me and be so damn talented. They made it this far and were picked out of all the other hopefuls, so why not give them a chance this gives me an idea to write an actual article about giving them a chance. Maybe another time. Okay, I was ranting a bit. I’m leaving you all to make your own decisions. There are no rules. I am giving myself some time to make my own answer as well. We don’t want to rush genius now do we? I’ve also asked another contributor to give her scoop of what she would like to see. So choose five divas and explain why you would want them on the show. Past, former, current, rookie divas are at your disposal. Well not like that but you can select whoever you want so get to typing!!
